The M12 is made in Leicester, England and still looks the same as it did when Fred designed it back in the 50s. Legend has it that a buyer from the Lillywhites sports store wanted Fred's single-colored polo shirt decorated with the colors of a soccer team. The idea for the double stripe polo was born. However, it only appears on Fred Perry in a 5:4:4 ratio - and is an absolute centerpiece of the brand. The design of this model has also made sportswear socially acceptable in everyday life. It features the same details as the original and is an integral part of British subculture. Its color palette is based on shades found in the archives.
