Conrad Hasselbach Shoes & and Garment Hamburg - since 1992 -

Once upon a time in 1992...

The lack of affordable, high-quality English shoes for my generation was frightening. This prompted me to fill an old flat in Hamburg Winterhude to the ceiling with shoe boxes. Family and friends were the first customers. When the first friends asked to come in on a Saturday morning, the time had come for the first shop.

It wasn't just the aforementioned shoes that were missing in Hamburg, there was a lack of almost everything that the Englishman considers an ‘essential kit’. Military-cut tweed jackets and corduroy trousers, either the tweed check in pink or the trousers in purple. Tailored cuts with colourful waistcoats and striped stockings. Not only the shirts and blouses exclusively with ‘double cuff’, but also cufflinks made of sterling silver and semi-precious stones.

We gained new friends for our clothing style not only through the shop in Winterhude, but also at events such as horse shows and private sales exhibitions.

The online placement of our idea is intended to maintain contact with our old and new friends, who are spread across Germany and Europe.
